What is upper blepharoplasty?
Upper eyelid surgery is a precision procedure in which a small section of eyelid skin is carefully removed to remove the excess skin and restore a more youthful, energetic appearance to the eyes and nearby tissues. The procedure is customized to match the unique condition of the patient, and may involve removing fat lodged in the region, muscle modification or other precision changes to restore a youthful appearance. Dr. Afrooz addresses every upper blepharoplasty procedure with the most advanced surgical techniques, and can resolve hooding, and fine-tuning eye symmetry to achieve a remarkably refreshed, healthy look.
What is lower blepharoplasty?
Lower eyelid surgery is performed to treat several aesthetic problems visible at the lower eyelids. The procedure is customized to match the condition of the individual, and will vary, patient to patient. Generally, the procedure involves placing an incision just below the lower eyelashes, or within the lower eyelid. Through this incision, excess fat is removed (under-eye bags), or issues such as drooping lower lids corrected by repositioning the muscles.

Consultation Fee
In consideration of Dr. Afrooz’s time and expert evaluation of your case, a consultation fee of $175 is collected at the time of scheduling. This fee is credited in full toward your procedure with Dr. Afrooz should you choose to move forward.
Insurance
At our private-pay aesthetic practice, we do not accept any form of insurance at this time.
However, we understand that some procedures, such as those for a deviated septum or hooded eyes, may qualify for reimbursement through your insurance provider. For patients seeking reimbursement, we can provide an operative report, including Dr. Afrooz’s diagnostic and surgical CPT codes. You may submit this documentation directly to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. If you have any questions about this process, our team is happy to assist in providing the necessary paperwork.
