What Should I Expect During a PRF Treatment?
The first step of a PRF treatment is drawing a small amount of blood from your arm. The blood is then processed using a specialized low-speed centrifuge to isolate platelet-rich fibrin while preserving cellular integrity.
Next:
- For hair restoration: A local anesthetic is applied to the scalp for comfort before PRF is injected into areas of thinning hair.
- For under-eye rejuvenation: PRF is carefully injected beneath the eyes to improve dark circles, skin quality, and contour.
- For skin revitalization: PRF may be injected directly or used in combination with SkinPen® microneedling.
Most PRF treatments take about one hour or less. Mild redness or swelling may occur but typically resolves quickly.
