If you’re interested in undergoing a procedure as an out-of-town patient, one of the first steps will be to have a virtual consultation with Dr. Afrooz. We believe that open communication is essential to every consultation, and although this is easy to achieve in person, we go the extra mile to provide our out-of-town patients with a complete consultation experience.

What Can I Expect From My Consultation? 

Before Your Virtual Consultation

Before your virtual consultation, our staff will talk with you about your surgical history, aesthetic goals, and any logistical needs you may have as an out-of-town patient. We will also request that you submit several photos of yourself, specifically in the area(s) you’re looking to have treated.

During Your Virtual Consultation

During your virtual consultation, our coordinator will discuss your treatment options with you and answer any questions you may have. They will make sure that we fully understand your needs and goals for your cosmetic treatment and work with you to create a personalized treatment plan. Our team will also make sure that you understand our surgical approach and the internal scheduling process for our clinic.

After Your Virtual Consultation

After you’ve finished your virtual consultation with Dr. Afrooz, our patient coordinator will reach out to you to go over the pricing for your procedure and help you get your treatment scheduled. Alternatively, if you’d prefer to meet Dr. Afrooz in person before committing to any treatment, we can help you schedule a follow-up consultation for the next time you’re in the Miami area.

Once you’ve booked your cosmetic surgery with Dr. Afrooz, the next step will be to have a virtual pre-operative appointment with a nurse from our clinical team. You will then be required to meet with Dr. Afrooz at least one day prior to your scheduled procedure.

Our office is conveniently located near some of the largest airports in Florida. Patients traveling to Miami by air should fly into Miami International Airport (10 miles) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (27 miles). Post-Operative Care

After your cosmetic procedure is complete, our team will do everything they can to make your recovery process as smooth and successful as possible. If you need, we’d be happy to facilitate additional post-operative care via our network of talented nurses and other caregivers, all of whom are very familiar with Dr. Afrooz’s high standard for post-operative care.

Our post-operative care is extremely thorough, as it’s important to us that our patients heal properly and achieve wonderful results. Depending on the type of surgery you undergo, you may be required to stay in town for a certain length of time while you recover. For example, rhinoplasty patients can leave town on the eighth day following their surgery, whereas facelift and neck lift patients must remain in Miami for at least two weeks.
